Grambling State University will host a solo art exhibition by Naja Simeon. The show, “Peaceful Aggression” will be held in the Favrot Student Union April 10 – 17, 2012. This showcase of artwork will explore the artist’s concepts and ideas from the simple appreciation of nature’s beauty, to the more sophisticated aspects of environmental deprivation and the true meaning of life. Naja is from the tropical paradise of Saint Lucia, a small Caribbean island with lush vegetation and immense natural beauty, which has been the main influence for his love for nature. Being involved in both Engineering and Art studies, Naja has combined these two areas of study in his work to express the impact of man and his way of life on his environment. The public is invited to attend a reception for the artist on Thursday, April 12th, 4:30 – 6:30 PM, in the Lobby of the Favrot Student Union, which is located on Main Street, Grambling, LA. The gallery hours are from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, M-F.
