The public is invited to let the good times roll at the Ruston Civic Symphony Society’s 13th annual Krewe of Allegro Mardi Gras Ball. The fundraiser, which helps the organization to bring classical music to area schools, is scheduled for Saturday February 18th at the Ruston Civic Center. Tickets to the event include dinner by Campatori Catering, musical entertainment by The Buddy Terzia Band and 2 complimentary drinks, plus a cash bar.
Attendees of the black-tie-optional event can enter a raffle drawing for a chance to win a fleur de lis diamond pendant at $50 per ticket.The North Central Louisiana Arts Council will present an additional silent auction. Libby English, RCSS board member, said possible auction items include original art by local artists and restaurant gift certificates, among other items. Ten percent of the silent auction proceeds will go to RCSS and the remainder will fund NCLAC projects, a nonprofit organization.
Also, reigning king and queen of the ball, Ken and Delores Taylor, will crown new royalty, longtime RCSS patrons Derek and Sharla McClusky.

The Krewe of Allegro 13th Annual Mardi Gras Ball will be from 7 p.m.-midnight February 18th at the Ruston Civic Center. Tickets are $60 per person, payable by cash or check only. Tickets for individual couples are available, or to reserve a table for up to eight or more, call Becky at 243-8887.
