Ruston Community Theater Announces Auditions:
Auditions for Kringle’s Window by Mark Medoff will be held on Saturday, October 1st at 10:00 and Monday, October 3rd at 7:00 in the lobby of the Dixie Center for the Arts. No experience or prior preparation needed to audition for this play directed by Nancy Wallace.
Play synopsis: A family is having difficulty as the Christmas season approaches. Becka, age 12, and Boomer, age 8, are sisters whose parents are in the middle of a trial separation. Becka, a precocious computer hacker, has become cynical and withdrawn. Boomer tries to be the peacemaker, eternally positive and anxious for all around her to be happy. While taking her sister to the mall to see Santa, Becka is goaded by her hacker friends into telling Boomer that there is no Santa. While the parents try to deal with the fallout, the magical and mysterious Mrs. Rosen comes into everyone’s lives and begins to change the equation. There will be a total of 12 characters: Male parts – 3 teen-age boys, 3 adults over 40 ; and female roles – 2 girls under 10, 2 teen-age girls, 2 adults over 40.
